Cassese's MVR

A cozy and clean place that serves wonderful Italian food! We had the Wedding Soup and the Grilled Chicken sandwich topped with Italian greens and roasted peppers! The breast was grilled to perfection and was generous in size. The soup, while not quite as good as mom used to make, was pretty darn good. :)

I was excited to try this restaurant after reading so many positive reviews, but our experience was disappointing from the start. My party of three walked in right behind another party of two. They were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Meanwhile, the bartender and who appeared to be a manager (sitting at the end of an otherwise empty bar) completely ignored us. No greeting, no acknowledgment, not even a quick “someone will be right with you.” After standing there for a couple of minutes, I finally asked, “Do we just sit anywhere?” and was met with “Oh no” in an annoyed tone before he reluctantly grabbed menus and seated us. Atmosphere great, feels like Youngstown,Service was good we was in early lunch before they got to busy also she was training a new girl .Food excellent, portion size good and priced not to break the bank 👍

Came here 10/15/25 for my daughters birthday dinner, I had the veal parm and angel hair pasta, not sure if it was real veal or a what, but it was very tender... overall the food wasn't bad at all.. first time here, and I'll Definitely come back..

Descent Italian food bit service wasn't the best. Messed up 2 food orders, but it was Saturday night, so I understand how busy it was and how much more stress it adds. Might try it again next time we are in town.
