Customer Reviews
We stopped by Castaways in Lancaster and had a nice, low-key meal. The staff was super friendly and made us feel very welcome, which we really appreciated. We ordered the fried haddock with a baked potato and green beans. Overall, nothing fancy, but the prices were very reasonable and we feel like we got exactly what we paid for. A laid-back spot with kind service—sometimes that’s all you need.
Always good food. And pricing is fair. It's a nice little place but the seating is a little tight and it gets pretty busy at dinner time. As it gets warmer the patio should be available to handle that problem though. 4 stars 🤩
Disgusting food ! I'll never eat there again The filet of haddock is nothing more than minced fish microwaved The baked potato was black brown and had a smell to it I asked to have cottage cheese to replace it and instead they insisted another baked potato she cut it open and said here is a fresh one and it was worse than the first one black brown! They're sauteed mushrooms is nothing more than canned mushrooms The hamburger was coarse ground and was very strong tasting and I'd still like to know how a fish fillet dinner that was $13 on the menu and the specialty hamburger was $10 on the menu The drinks are $3.29 or 3.39 a piece and our bill came out to $38!!! When we got our check it was a straight out $35 plus tax which was $2 and something why wasn't it broke down so we know what we wer
My wife and I stumbled upon this place as we were driving through the area. Now I’ll warn you, it is off the beaten path and just when you’re about to give up and turn around, just keep going haha! When we arrived we were seated promptly. The hostess and server were very friendly and quick. My wife ordered the chopped steak and I had the Ribeye. Both were cooked correctly and had a good flavor. The ribeye did have a little gristle and some tough spots to it but overall it wasn’t bad. We both got salad, and green beans which were good as well. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and will plan to come back and try something different.
Staff was very friendly. Salad was good, but steak was well done instead of medium that I ordered with salad. Pizza crust was okay, nothing special. Onion rings same as pizza. Staff was best aspect of the night. Friendly with everyone, even out of towners like us.
