Cavalli Pizza

There is something immediately inviting about Cavalli. The room feels alive — warm lighting, animated conversation, and a certain Italian charm that makes you linger a little longer at the table. The ambiance carries confidence. For a moment, you feel transported. The penne vodka, however, did not quite achieve the same harmony. It leaned slightly too salty for my taste, and the cheese was pronounced — almost overpowering — masking the subtle creaminess and balance one hopes for in a well-executed vodka sauce. It was not unpleasant, but it lacked refinement. A dish with potential, yet one that felt heavier than it needed to be. The Margherita pizza arrived hot and fresh, its marinara bright and present. Saturday night visit, first visit, party of five. We were seated quickly. The table enjoyed the artichoke appetizer. The Dallas pizza wasn't bad. It was a little burnt and tasted burnt. The pizza is not crispy, a little floppy whole holding a slice. The service was good, attentive. It's a solid Italian spot if you're in the area.

Met with clients here for lunch to discuss both selling their home and buying a new one, and Cavalli’s turned out to be the perfect spot for it. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, which made it easy to have a productive conversation without feeling rushed or crowded. The pizza was fantastic — authentic, thin-crust style with a beautifully baked crust and fresh ingredients. The margherita was especially memorable: rich tomato sauce, creamy melted mozzarella, and just the right touch of basil. Every bite tasted like it came straight from an Italian kitchen. Service was friendly and attentive, and our food came out hot and fresh. It’s a great place to bring clients, meet friends, or just enjoy an excellent lunch in McKinney. We’ll definitely be back — for business and for pleasure. 🍕

Another wonderful pizza place! This time to-go next time dine in ! Their Margherita pizza was so tasty made from the freshest of ingredients and cooked in their wood fired oven to perfection! We also ordered their Jalapeño-artichoke Dip with tostini which were made crisp. Again a wonderful dish which we are bound to repeat! Can’t wait to go back ! Service was courteous and ambience was typically of an authentic Italian pizzeria! ——————————————— We ordered the baked meatballs , the Mussels and The Capriccioso Pizza. All were made from fresh ingredients including the seafood and the veggies! And the portions were huge and tasty!

Cavalli Pizza is a nice restaurant with a great staff. The food and drinks were just not good. The lasagna was bland and very small for a $17 price point. The pizza was meh at best…had much better pizza elsewhere. The sodas come in glass bottles you’ll have to self pour. It’s a bougie restaurant in a faux European village. There are a lot of other Italian restaurants/pizza restaurants that are much better. Kudos again to the staff and management for being very welcoming.
