Food was excellent from appetizers to desserts. More bread should be served when you order 2 cloves of the garlic appetizer for 8 people to share. Kitchen was out of several items. I would not sit at the table directly facing the lobby because of the cold draft. Would have liked more festive decorations for Valentine’s Day.
Our server Christine was phenomenal. The food was perfect. From appetizers, filet mignon and desert we couldn’t have been happier. We were a party of 8 women out for Galentines Day. Highly recommend for food, ambiance and exceptional service
We had a fantastic date night meal at Charkol on Saturday night. The restaurant is beautifully decorated for Christmas and had a nice atmosphere. Our server Sebastian was awesome. Tried the Whipped ricotta and a clam appetizer. They were good. The Ricotta was enough for 4 people and the Dozen clams maybe enough for 1 person. Keep that in mind. Next time we try the Wygu meatball and something else. We tried The Fig and Honey Pizza as well. Tasty and sweet... If you order this I would ask to add prosciutto. Cust was great so imagine the other more traditional pies are good. Finally the entrees, they were a 10/10. 20oz Dry Aged NY strip with a side of crisp fries and the Short Rib Gnocchi. Amazing. Highly recommend. We were so full we had to pass on dessert but the selections
Let me just say, ive been here a number of times and had a range of everything. NEVER disappointed. The lights, the vibe, the service. Top notch. I recommend getting a reservation but I have also gone with a friend and been fine without one. Bring your favorite bottle if you partake in byob and let the evening flow. Took my son here for his first tomahawk steak... you guys nailed it. All the sauces and the bone marrow. We had leftovers! Thank you for another great experience! Forgot to get a picture, but dont forget to look up and check out all the lights. Love the vibe they give
Charkol has a really nice feel to it—it’s a beautiful restaurant. The food was decent; I had a filet mignon with a few sides that were definitely shareable among a group. One thing to note: if you’re not into charcoal or smoked flavors, that’s pretty much their cooking style, and you’ll definitely walk out smelling like it—your clothes and your hair. Also, before I forget, this restaurant is BYOB, which is a nice bonus. The only negative was that it was really cold inside, so bring a sweater. Overall, I thought it was a great experience, and our waiter was very friendly.
