Charleys Cheesesteaks Park Plaza

My name is Barbara and for my birthday I wanted the original cheesesteak with cheese whiz. Charlie’s is the place we found in pompano, and they went above and beyond the call of duty. The sandwiches were hot and delicious. The bread was soft and the owners even bought me two balloons because I was celebrating my birthday with my family. There was eight of us they accommodated us like we were family. The owners even brought me balloons balloons who does that Charlie’s does that’s who they also offered us a dessert on the house, but my girls that joined me, brought me a cake and strawberry, so we declined, thanking them very much for their thoughtfulness, and we made sure that Every staff member got a piece of our dessert that we brought. I've visited this location several times, but my most recent visit on Sunday, November 30, 2025 was by far the WORST! The customer service here is usually okay, but the food was why I travel over 30mins from Coral Springs to come to this location. But on 11/30/25, BOTH the service and the food were TERRIBLE! When my family and I walked in to place our orders, there was one guy working. He let us know that he was the only person working, so it would be a wait. That was no problem. I even tipped him as soon as I placed my order, just to let him know that I appreciate him working alone. I had the teriyaki chicken combo with cheese fries & my husband had the Buffalo chicken and it was phenomenal At+++, my sandwich was soooo delicious!! I'm from NY so I know good food when I have it. The quality of the food was the best I had in Pompano. The service was fantastic and very quick. The man at the front (bald head says GMBK on receipt) was really helpful with any questions I had, and I really loved the strawberry lemonade as well. Will definitely be returning when I’m back in town. Thanks for an amazing experience!
