Charlotte and William Bloomberg Medford Public Library

It’s a beautiful, clean library with great resources. The only major issue, and honestly the thing that defeats the purpose of a library, is the noise level from the librarians. They’re kind, but they’re loud. I can hear their conversations from across the entire building. If you’re looking for a quiet place to study, this probably isn’t it. In the afternoons, kids come in to play games, which is cute, but I really wish there were a clearly designated quiet area. And the study rooms? There’s usually a librarian stationed right in front of them, and more often than not, it’s the loudest one. You can hear everything through the walls. I give four stars. Amazing library and place. Staff is friendly and helpful. They have nice study rooms to book out for a max up to two hours PER card holder user. For the four stars given, reason is because I have experienced some loudness from the staff before. Information desk in the front / circulation desk can get a bit loud. I’m not sure if they’re aware of their volume talking sometimes but I can even hear them from all the way in study rooms 1-3. Or the back part of the library for that matter. There’s also been a time where a lady was on the phone talking in Spanish using her normal indoor voice. Sounded like gossiping about family matters (Spanish is broken so I couldn’t say much to her to be quiet.) and no one from the library staff talked to her to settle and quiet down or tak

Medford is fortunate to have such a lovely library serving the community. A lot of thought has been put in in designing the various spaces. The double floor building features a kid-friendly space upstairs, as well as multiple meeting/study rooms. Very helpful and friendly staff. Wished there was a cafe though. Limited parking available on both paid street parking and free parking lot behind.

Beautiful library in modern style. This is your must-have. It is a two-story building with two entrances. You can park your car both in the parking lot behind the library and on the street in front of the main entrance. There is a Tesla charger in the parking lot. The second floor is for children and teenagers. There are computers, separate study rooms, a toilet, and a vending machine with snacks and drinks. Books are just cosmic. I am very sorry that I did not have such books in my childhood 😭 Enjoy!

A very nice library, but the Internet connection is not able to connect to my office computer, and you can only eat in the cafe space that has no electrical outlets.
