Charminar Xpress

Some friends and I went to Charminar Xpress tonight….. Our experience was very nice with amazing food. I ordered a generic butter chicken, and was ultimately shocked with the amazing quality of taste this butter chicken had. Creamy and rich, this butter chicken (with rice and naan aswell) was absolutely tremendous. The wait for the food was a little longer than expected. However, my group was rather large and the wait was manageable. Overall, staff was very friendly and this was a fun and enjoyable dining experience for me and my party. Would recomend!!!

Impressed with Never Being Disappointed I’m happy to say that having gone to Charminar Express for over a year now, since the day they opened, I am shocked that we have yet to have a single dish there that was anything other than very good, and have had several that would qualify as excellent to superb. I have tried every one of Charminar’s chicken curries. Several of their biryanis, their tandoori, their assorted chicken appetizers, several of their fish curries, three of their breads, their pulao, a couple of vegetable side dishes, and even the mutton. That each one of them maintained a distinction between the others is high praise. The food is excellent. We enjoyed takeout - butter chicken, sambar, and chicken fried rice. The serving sizes are great and everything reheats well for leftovers!

The food was some of the best ever, I can't stress that enough, we had the chicken tandoori and some cheese and garlic naan. Where I minus a star is the menu is vast and there's no descriptions. I wanted to try something new but had no idea what some items were. Its authentic which is absolutely wonderful, I'm just asking for a sentence that tells us what spices or flavors to expect from each item without having to use Google or ask a bunch of questions. If the menu was parced down and had more info I think this place would be 5 stars for sure.

Finally an option for Indian food if you are in Dawsonville area or come by to north Georgia mall. Ordered couple of veg dishes - naan, malai kofta and veg dum biryani etc.. Malai kofta was really tasty and balanced. Veg Dum biryani has really nice taste but felt that rice was different than what I have eaten on other biryani places. They were thick and short, not long ones. Also garlic naan and was the one that I did not like. These can be better. Overall good experience overall.
