Chef Von & Mom

Our first time to Scranton We stopped at this little restaurant before a concert in town. This place is amazing!!! My boyfriend got the classic smash burger , Which I took a bite of and it tasted amazing! I had the new chicken pasta salad, Everything was perfect! Friendly people, Would definitely be back again!!

We had an amazing lunch experience at Chef Von & Mom restaurant - a much needed stop on our trip home to SC from Connecticut. The food was excellent! We had smash burgers - the Von and the LA. They were delicious! I ordered a side of Cheesesteak Perogies which were hearty enough for a meal on their own. Fantastic! Mom was so welcoming and helpful in choosing our orders. I asked for a photo with her and she obliged. After the posed picture, she asked if I ate all of my meal (burger + all the perogies). I smiled and said yep all of it! We hope to return in the future!

I did not think that the Penut Butter Bacon burger would work. I was way off, the burger was so good. Happend to be in the area for a convention and was sampling food in time square for scary good eats App. The service was excellent as staff was really nice. It did take a while for the order to be filled, but it was worth it. Comparing to other places, they would hit another level of they prepared fresh fries. I will be back soon.

The peanut butter cheese burger was fantastic, I've had pb burgers at 6 or 7 different places and this was right up there with the best. The regular (untopped) fries were excellent as well, crispy and seasoned perfectly. The garlic Parm fries have an excellent flavor, although they were a bit soggy. I think the toppings sat on the fries a bit too long before serving. Excellent overall and will be back.

The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was warm and inviting. Chef Von's mom was there and the attention she shows to her customers is the best. You feel like family here. On my next trip through Scranton this will be a spot I won't want to miss. Great job to the entire team at Chef Von and Mom's!
