Chester's Chicken

Hands down the BEST Gizzards in the Surrounding Area. Stumbled across one day by accident, while on assignment( looking for a quick bite to eat), It's now a MUST STOP when ever I'm in the area. Normally mine are prepared at order and they never disappoint.. Scrumptiously delicious 😋 and flavorful (no need for hot sauce) you'll find yourself greedily stuffing these little morsels into your mouth until all gone..and like an addict wanting to turn your car back around for more... And the best part about it is that they are more than reasonably priced.. and go well with bottled water( for you health nuts, so as not to feel too guilty) or a good grape soda; all available in the convenient store, which it resides..

This is a takeout fried chicken place in a truck stop. If you go with appropriate expectations given that description you won’t be disappointed, and you might be surprised. They have a few $5 meal deals that are pretty tasty. I’ve tried the fried chicken livers or gizzards. Both yummy if you’re down for it. Their chicken is alright. Not gonna change your life. Their biscuits are glazed with some kind of honey sweetness. They are not for everyone but they’re ok. They make a lot fresh at mid day or 5. It’s hot and fresh. But that might’ve been out a while if you go at 3pm or 8pm. Adjust your expectations accordingly. There are other fast food places that might do it better. Walked into Chester’s Chicken, nobody at the counter. I say “hello” like a normal human being—this girl stomps out the back like I ruined her nap and dared her to smile. Huffing, puffing, and mumbling like I asked her to fry the chicken with her bare hands. Sis, if customer service drains your soul that bad, maybe fast food ain’t your calling. You ain’t gotta love the job—but you ain’t gotta act like you hate me for walking in, either. I came for chicken, not attitude in a hairnet.
