Chicago Connection - Downtown

Very good Chicago-style deep dish pizza. Not quite baked like it is in Chicago, but very good nonetheless. The quality of the ingredients —specifically the mozzarella and the dough for the crust—is obvious. The marinara was good but I think it needed more spice. The individual pie made for a satisfying, inexpensive dinner. Service by a young man named Kurt was very helpful and friendly. Full disclosure: I grew up in Brooklyn so I have a taste preference for NY-style pizza, but I love the pizza from Chicago too. This is a solid choice.

Their Double Deluxe Pepperoni pizza is my favorite pizza, best I've ever had. Loaded with Pepperoni and tons of cheese, if you like a good pepperoni pizza, you'll love this. In the late 80's, while I was attending Boise State University, I would order this on a regular basis. After college, moved to Seattle and just moved back after 35 yrs, and was thrilled to see Chicago Connection still here and still serving this wonderful pizza. We try to dine here each time we come into Boise. The Authentic Italian Meatballs are a great starter. And the staff are friendly and attentive. Just a great overall pizza restaurant. I don't believe you'll be disappointed.

My favorite pizza in the world I hope they never go out of business. The make pizza the way it's suppose to be. I could eat it everyday. The server was so sweet and nice I know she was training and she did amazing.

Mmmmm, lasagna pie and salad bar! Deep dish lasagna pie is my favorite pizza ever I’ve been getting it since I was 20 years old. It’s still the jam. I’ll add pics next time. I ate it all.

We were going for dine in and it was sort of late at night and there was not a soul around us so it was really nice. I think we got lucky because everyone was at the football game. And as always the food was Great! They've also brought back the salad bar.
