Chicken Salad Chick

I decided to stop by Chicken Salad Chick for lunch after seeing it on TikTok, but unfortunately, my experience wasn’t great. I ordered the Bacon Cheddar Melt, which came with just a pickle and no cookie. When I first arrived, the drink I wanted wasn’t available — which I was okay with — but things went downhill from there. My croissant was a bit too toasted, almost burnt, and they forgot my soup. I had to tell them at the window that it was missing. Then, as I started eating my grape salad, I noticed a piece of hair on one of the grapes — definitely a turn-off. Overall, I was disappointed since I came in with high hopes after seeing all the hype online. I really wanted to like this place, but the quality and attention to detail just weren’t there during my visit.

I drive by regularly and finally stopped in. I ordered two sandwiches. Both were very good. I got both as the basic chicken salad on toasted wheat bread. I went through the drive thru, so I cannot speak to what the interior is like.

Yesterday was my first time trying Chicken Salad Chick. Such a unique concept for a drive thru but even more impressive was the time the employee took to check all my choices to make sure they did not contain gluten. He went above and beyond and deserves a shout out. I didn’t cath his name but great job!!!

I love this restaurant so much. Yesterday, I went and my ticket got lost. I was waiting for like 20 minutes for my food. Manager came up to me- I guess she saw me waiting for a while. She figured out what was wrong, rushed my order, and gave me a free piece of cake. Lmao and the owner knows the menu so well he was telling people in line before me about everything on the menu. I could tell he knew his stuff. Plus, he has his kids working with him at the restaurant, which I think is great! Family business while building work ethic in your kids!! Trillion stars all around.

I’m so glad this location opened in Metairie! I always wanted to try their chicken salad and they did not disappoint. The food is amazing and the workers are too. Everyone was very polite & hard working. I recommend the Dixie Chick chicken salad.
