Chico's Pizza

Spending the night out at Long Beach, Wa on a Saturday. Most places had long wait times. Chicos was busy but not too bad. I ordered the medium Larry's Special. (Canadian bacon, Italian sausage and pepperoni) Perfectly cooked and lots of meat. Atmosphere reminds me of the pizza places I grew up with but much brighter and vaulted ceilings. Definitely a place I'll bring my friends to in the future.

I regret not coming here sooner! My husband and I have a small cabin on the beach and come up a few times each month from Portland. We consider ourselves pizza aficionados. When I tell you that this pizza is excellent. The crust is thin and crispy and has a great chewiness to it. The sauce is perfect and ample. The service is great. I highly recommend this spot. Can’t wait to come back.

We had been told mixed reviews by word of mouth by the locals and opted to try it out for ourselves. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. The staff that took our order were friendly enough. However, the delivery of our food to our table could use a little work. There was no communication or plates given. We only received our pizza, but not the garlic bread and were left to wonder if it was forgotten or just delayed. We waited a few minutes and right about the moment we were going to inquire about it, they delivered it and just walked away. We still had to request plates. As far as the food…well, if the crust got any thinner it would have holes in it. Overall, the flavor was good, but the crust cut the inside of my mouth. The garlic bread was not bread. Great pizza and great old school ambiance. I used to like Chicos pizza many years ago, but it went downhill big time. The current owner, Dr. Roof, bought it a few years ago and put a ton of time, $$, and energy into bringing it back to the "good old days". I ordered a hometowner with pepperoni to go. It looked and smelled great. It was the Chico's pizza I remember only a bit better. It has a cracker crust, which was great, and a generous portion of cheese and Canadian Bacon. If you are looking for super solid, thin crust pizza, you will love this place. Well done, Chicos.

Came in and was immediately told I could only get my pizza to go. All good! We had 6 adults ready to order 6 salad bars 6 or more beers. But you only wanted to sell me pizza to go. I figure it would have been better to sell us some salads and beer while we waited for our pizza but not even suggested by the friendly staff. It did take someone from the back to yell at one of the 5 people who just walked by us to help us to take our "to go order only". I guess maybe thank you for saving me another $100.00 I would of spent on beers and salads. Must be more affordable to throw away or keep it nice fresh for tomorrow's customers.
