The menu changed a little bit and I noticed the amount of food is not how it used to be, notably on the calamari plate. I understand the prices of ingredients must be affecting it. Nonetheless, chiflez has became our favorite happy hour place. Jill is so nice and always remembered our drink order. Their coconut mojitos are always hitting!

This is my third time in here and I’m amazed by the taste of the food and the service. They’re so nice and try to get everything you need. I’ve tried some dishes picada for 2 it’s so good, today I also tried the arroz chaufa was one the best I’ve ever had. I didn’t have the chance to take a picture was so hungry. Thank you Jill for making our experience even better. Always eager to come back ❤️

This is a regular spot for dinner, but mostly I come for happy hour because the cocktails are good even with house liquor, only $6 each. I come here often since it’s near my office. The service is decent, but the only inconvenience—one that’s common in many restaurants around Roosevelt—is how the tip is added at checkout. They automatically add an 18% gratuity. I understand the servers may need this, but it’s not the right way to handle it. Tipping is a custom, not mandatory, and it should depend on factors like location, prices, and the type of restaurant. I’m sharing this so that next time, at least for me, this won’t happen. For those who didn’t know, you can actually request to remove it from the bill, especially if it’s just two people. My suggestion: update the menu and clearly state

Excellent experience. The food was delicious, with great flavor and impeccable presentation. The service was exceptional, especially thanks to Jil, who took care of us with great kindness and attention at all times. She made us feel very comfortable and truly welcome. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for enjoying with family or friends. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it 100%😊!!!

When we went on a lunch weekend last month, food was good but service needs improvement. I think there was only one lady taking care of everyone's orders and so we had to wait a long time to get napkins and other requests. She also got one of our drink orders wrong, but we just went along with it since she was nice anyway and we were trying to be considerate. The drink tasted fine (a mojito). Kind of pricey for the location, including the drinks (Manhattan levels not Roosevelt Ave in Queens). I particularly liked the seafood rice which had boiled corn kernels from Ecuador (called Mote). Overall, not bad.
