Chilacates Central Square

This place was PERFECT!!! We were treated with kindness and the Guy working, Perfecto , was fantastic. I had the lengua, carnitas, puerco en salsa tacos and they were great, the tortillas are handmade so yummy. My Wife ordered pastor tacos and were so good. The salsa roja has the best flavor while packing the heat. Birria Taco Trio was loaded with flavorful meat. The amount of meat was perfect. The dipping consome was hands down the greatest taste for any dipping sauce I’ve had. Highly recommend You won’t regret this place. Can’t wait to come back!

My spouse got the birria bowl. It was very generous with rice, tender birria, black beans, flavorful pico de gallo and a bit of cheese. They readily gave more cheese when asked. Everything was rather plain but good. There were two sauces at the table to spice it up. I got a carnitas burrito with black beans, rice, tasty carnitas, pico de gallo plus additional charge for guacamole and sour cream. I enjoyed the flavor of all these in a stretchy burrito. These ample portions mean we have enough food for another meal.

My gf wanted Mexican for her birthday lunch so I thought this place sounded good, I was right! I tried the birria tacos for the first time and she got the chicken burrito. Both tasted very fresh and the service was great. For a little shop on the street I wasn’t expecting to pay $40 but birria tacos are probably just more money than the average taco so that’s alright.

Wow, this place is not to miss. Super laid back, counter service style, but the food is incredible. Tacos were super tasty and guacamole was so fresh. Would return in a heart beat.

Whoever is the manager at this place is doing a good job with the chefs they have. As a Mexican I would say this place now has the top best chilaquiles I have tried in Boston/Cambridge so far. The chilaquiles were crunchy and so good, the sauce was on point! Beans were to die for, and the eggs were perfectly cooked, for real it was so good!.
