Chili's Grill & Bar

While in the Glen Allen area we stopped in for a quick bite before a meeting. They were slightly busy, but not very busy. I used to not prefer causal chain restaurants, but a couple of years ago I tried a local Chili’s and really liked it and found they were making positive changes, so I’ve visited more and they were all great. This one reminded me of why I stopped coming. The service was friendly, but the food quality resembled something that was rushed to be made, though the entrées took too long to come out. The chicken crispers I got were far from crispy or resembling being hand battered, they seemed like they were frozen and heated up to serve. The sauces were nice that came with them, but they were far from being very good or what I hoped for when I ordered them. Would I return

The service was great, but the food wasn't so great. To start the rice was not "Mexican rice" as stated in the menu. It was hard and undercooked. They gave me more rice, but it was more of the same. However, the steak, chicken, and shrimp were pretty tasty.

I just honestly had a taste for a Cookie Sundae. I got fries to balance the desert. & a good drink. Everything is delicious as always!!! Oh and my daughter got a Watermelon Lemonade & loved it. I have not tried it yet. But I will next time.

First time going & I must admit it was surprisingly good. The wait (on valentines) was reasonable & the food was good. I forgot our waitress name but her section is to the right, in the back. she was so helpful & bubbly lol made it an enjoyable experience.

Why this location only have 3 star rating, I don't know. That does not match with our experience. Service was good, bartender was attentive, and was able to keep up with her bartop and all the incoming orders for drinks from the whole dining room. Service was rather slow. Maybe that's why they only have 3 stars on Yelp. 15ish minutes or more for dessert. The standard is 8-10 minutes. Our burger (the Bacon Rancher) was delicious. While it wasn't cooked to order as we would have liked (it was well done instead of the medium we had ordered), it was still very juicy and flavorful. Then we finished with Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie dessert. It too was yummy. It could have used a double scoop of ice cream to better valve the richness of the cookie.
