China Buffet

I recently visited China Buffet and had a bit of a mixed experience. Overall, the food tasted good and was flavorful. However, when we first looked at the buffet, the dishes didn’t appear very fresh. Even though the taste was satisfying, the presentation made it a little confusing. On the positive side, the interior décor and dining area were very nice. The space was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully arranged, which made the overall atmosphere pleasant. There was plenty of seating, and it felt welcoming. The prices were reasonable and not too expensive, which is definitely a plus. Still, I was a bit unsure how to feel because while the food tasted good, it didn’t seem as fresh as I expected. Overall, it was an okay experience with both good and slightly disappointing parts.

It's your typical Chinese food buffet with the occasional American food offerings and sushi bar. The staff were friendly and on top of everything, taking your plates away and prompt drink service. The ice cream was my favorite part they had more than just your average 3 flavors. We opted for cookies and cream.

The food is ok, a lot of it has barely any flavor. And I don’t like the fact that they tip themselves now. The guy that sat us down checked on us only once and someone different brought the bill. $8 tip they tip themselves is crazy when barely any device was provided. Especially it being a china buffet where you get up and serve yourself. My bill went up to $50 because of the tip . It was just me and my 4 and 7 year old who barely eat as well.

Service was excellent. Food was not great. We were there on a Friday in the middle of lunch (1230) and it was very busy, so I feel our experience was indicative of regular business. There's a TON of variety in their bars (3 I think, plus a sashimi/roll bar fruit bar, and dessert bar), but flavor-wise? Bad enough we won't go back. Fried squid was rubbery, and acted as a vessel to hold old-tasting grease. The General Tsao's chicken tasted more like Italian sausage. And almost every chicken dish had that reheated leftover chicken taste - including the sweet and sour chicken fingers (which were otherwise bland as all get-out.)
