China East Chinese Restaurant

I want to first say that the workers and employees were super nice, so I don't like giving this review, but the experience at this restaurant food-wise was not good at all. I visited on a Sunday around 1:30 (it goes to 3) for the buffet while there and they never refilled any of the options even though there were quite a few people in there. So maybe what you order regularly would be good, but this day the buffet wasn't good at all. There wasn't much choice, the sweet and sour pork tasted really off, and the meat had been picked out of most of the rest of the choices. I won't be returning here because the food just wasn't good. I paid $13.00 for the buffet, and $3 for hot tea - wishing I hadn't wasted that money :(

Food was good. Had to get straw's myself even asking for some. Waitress asked us if we were ready to order 5 times within a minute. Sweet and sour chicken was really crunchy

I ordered egg drop soup with green onion, there was no green onion. Had to request a second bag of noodles upon pickup because they forgot one bag. The chicken wings were inedible, hard and tough. The vegetable fried rice was not like the fried rice im used to. Looked like couscous. At least the celery was good. And last but not least, tha crab rangoon were very thick and hard to break with very little filling in them. I had a dentist appt in the area, so I thought id try them because I was craving egg drop soup. Usually, egg drop soup is light and yellow. This stuff or orange and hardly had any egg in it. Mostly just broth. Next time, I'll drive the extra miles tho China Wok. And let add just how expensive it was

Most people leave a review for 2 reasons: 1. The place was amazing with great customer service or 2. The place completely failed at everything! My review for this restaurant falls into category 2. We drove from Maryville to Sweetwater to take care of some business. It was around dinner time and we were starving. We happened to see this restaurant and wanted to dine in. We get to the door only to see a note taped to the glass saying carry out only due to Covid. Every restaurant is open in Tennessee except this one. I was still in a great mood so we decided to buy the food to go. We would just eat it in the car. We weren't greeted by the young woman when we came in. No hi or these are our specials today. No how are you? Nothing! She just asked "are you picking up"? We said no we

If I can give negative Stars I would. I've given this place several chances and every time the rice feels like it's microwaved. The only thing that was edible was the sweet and sour chicken only bc it was made fresh
