China Gourmet

I LOVE china gourmet so much. Me and my bf have been coming here for years now and i put my family on it too and they love the sesame chicken and egg rolls.

I went to pick up my order around 6:30, and the staff’s behavior was completely unacceptable. As soon as they knew I’m Indian, they started acting rude. One lady told me to sit on the side in a very harsh way. I ordered for my friend, but I felt insulted by the way I was treated. No one deserves that kind of behavior.

When I checked online, it said the restaurant was open, but when I arrived, I found the owners inside eating. They told me, "Sorry, we cannot take your order; we are not open." I explained that I had driven all the way from Walnut Creek to see them, but they seemed unconcerned and blamed the situation on Google. Ultimately, they sent me away, and I have decided I will never return.

Soup is the best. Wonton or corn chowder we’d love. Best fried rice.

The proprietor Shirley is the sweetest and kindest owner/server I've come across in quite some time, always asking how my momma doing!! Really home town feel!!
