China Hut is one of those rare, comforting places that feels like it’s been part of the neighborhood forever. This small, family-owned Chinese restaurant is run by a kind, hardworking older lady who makes every visit feel personal and welcoming. From the moment you walk in, there’s a warm, homey atmosphere that you just don’t get at big chain restaurants. The food is classic, hearty, and clearly made with care. Portions are generous, flavors are familiar and satisfying, and everything comes out fresh and hot. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick meal or taking food home, it feels like the kind of place that truly appreciates your business. What really sets China Hut apart, though, is the heart behind it. The owner is incredibly sweet and genuinely thankful for every customer, which makes
Hands down, some of the BEST Chinese food we have ever had. This little place served up amazing BBQ Pork appetizer... rotisserie style...quite different than other places, with an amazing house "Pink Sauce" for dipping. General Tso Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein, Fried Shrimp & BBQ Pork were too notch. The Tempura batter was extra crispy, the flavors not overly salted, and the sweet and sour sauce was not too sweet. We highly recommend and will be coming back for more when we are back in the area!
The food was terrible. Tasted like old grease was used. The place was dirty unkempt and both my guest didn't partake in their dishes either. We were still charged and waitress kept apologizing. I honestly couldn't believe it. I had owner taste it, she agreed. Be careful eating there.
Terrible Chinese food and the worst I’ve ever had! I ordered Szechuan chicken (extra spicy), pork fried rice, and egg roll combo. The fried rice was dry and barely edible, the chicken was not spicy whatever and even worse it was sweet. More like sweet and sour chicken. As for the egg roll… It looked bad enough that I didn’t even try it. Ended up throwing most of my food. A friend ordered egg foo young and got a patty looking tasteless burnt omelette. Now I understand why there was NO ONE dining and only us for takeout.
The environment was nice, and the staff was helpful and stopped by our table a number of times during my 45-minute visit. Pricing was very fare. The #2 combo meal with chicken chow mein, pork fried rice, and fried prawns with tea and egg flower soup was less than $14 (6/2/25). Let's talk food! The portions: were, again, very fare, with the chow mein, four prawns, and fried rice covering a 10in oval plate The visual: In being honest, it looked a little pale. The fried rice was full of little nuggets of pork and veggies but was under fried if fried at all. The texture felt more like rice with some soy sauce that hit the wok, heated a minute, and plated. With that said, though, it tasted OK. The chow mein was a large pile of fried onions and veggies and a lot of chestnuts. Now I don't mi
