China Moon

I’m a huge fan of Generals Chicken, so for lunch I ordered from China Moon. I am always in this shopping center but never tried this place. Have to say this was very tasty, chicken was crispy (which it has to be) and the sauce was good. Ordered lunch, was made to order fast and I was on my way takeout. I am a huge fan of Asian cuisine, have my own wok at home and love to try to replicate what takeout I get. This was really good. Owner is very nice, I will be back for more of my “main” dishes I love.

I got the chicken & garlic sauce dinner combo. There was nothing *wrong* with the food (no bugs, hair, etc.) but it did not taste good at all. The sauce was very oily and bland, and the fried rice tasted like Uncle Ben's with barely any flavor and no egg in it. The service was rude but I gave it 2 stars because they didn't mess up my order.

I have been ordering takeout from China Moon for about 15 years. Obviously me and my family think well enough of their food and service to have been customers for that long. I don't think it is the best but for a quick take out, they generally have satisfied us. My one complaint that I would make, is that they are stingy with the amount of protein, i.e. meat or fish, that they add to a meal. I have counted 4 or 5 scallops in their scallop order for instance. I usually avoid seafood from them for that reason. Other dishes have scant amounts of pork or beef etc.

The food here is so delicious! Definitely my go-to Chinese food place in the area. I think the wonton soup might be my favorite that I've ever had and the meals come with lots of food for the price.

When I pulled up I thought the restaurant was closed down. As I walked closer, it was just extremely dirty. You could barely see through the windows. The staff was friendly and nice. When I got my takeout food home, I was scooping it onto a plate and found a dead fly in my FOOD! Please do a deep clean in the restaurant. I won’t be returning after this bad experience.
