I went there on 8/8/25 I ordered 20 scallops and crab ramgo. The crab ramgone was cook hard. While I was taken back at the fake scallops with round uniformity. I then realized that they were not real scallops.. I expected real one. I don't mind paying for it They should inform the public that it is fake. Then it my choice.

Best Chinese we've had in a years. No third party delivery. The portions, the taste and oh my the veggies. Perfect. A must have. Will be the only Chinese we order from now on.

Running errands today and had a hankering for egg foo young. This place has great reviews so I came here. If I were doing take out, my review would be 5 stars because I’d only be rating the food…which is really good and generous portions. However, taking off 1 star because it’s 89 degrees outside and the AC is off and the door is open. Also taking off a star because this place is confusing. I had to stop in the doorway to figure what the heck was going on with the configuration of the furniture and junk setting around. I’m attaching a photo. Recommend for take out.

The food was terrific best boneless spare ribs I have had as a lunch combo ever! They were not overly sweet they were not fatty they were just delicious! Egg roll with lackluster. Rice could have used some seasoning. Regardless all of it together was delicious!

From New Jersey, but moved to Newport News after 11 years in California. I found China Ocean after looking for East Coast Chinese food that reminded me of home, and I found it after my first order. This was July of 2024, and I have ordered faithfully from here ever since! Very consistent, always freshly made, fast delivery, quick order and pay by phone, and very humble and gracious employees.
