Choong Hwa Won (Korean & Chinese Restaurant) | 중화원 (한국식 중화요리-중식,한식)

Having watched a lot of Kdramas and Korean food documentaries on Netflix, I was quite keen on trying jajangmyun with tangsuyuk and somehow by chance came upon this reel on the ‘gram about this Korean-Chinese restaurant that served authentic jajangmyun along with pork tangsuyuk!! I was elated and landed there on a Friday evening for some good food. I loved how simple the setting of the restaurant was, it felt quite homely. We were seated immediately and offered complimentary hot tea (quite appreciated because it was freezing outside). Not much of a place to look at - but man their Kimchi pancake was perfection. Very neat that they had Korean AND Chinese food here. Seems like they focus on carry out orders a lot because the actual dining area is a bit too old school - bathrooms reminded me of pop up dim sum joints. But hey- the food is great.

Wow, the food exceeded my expectations. I went after seeing a review on TikTok and almost turned around because the outside is very unassuming, but the staff were so friendly they helped us with our baby, food came fast, large portions, and delicious. The interior is fine, could use a refresh/paint job, but if you’re looking for classic Korean dishes that satisfy, try this place!

The jajangmyun has mild seasoning, and the large is plenty to share between two people. The fried pork mandu is crispy and pairs well with their kimchi. Friendly staff, fast service.

One of my favorite places to eat Korean & Chinese food in NOVA. We live over an hour away and still visit here at least once a month. There are a couple of places near by to get Korean desserts, too.
