My family and I absolutely love this seafood boil—we truly believe it’s the best in Connecticut. The flavors are always rich, perfectly seasoned, and consistently delicious. Our favorite is the shovel, which is generously portioned and ideal for sharing. Everything is fresh, hot, and full of flavor, and the experience makes every visit memorable. It has become our go-to spot whenever we’re craving great seafood, and it never disappoints.

They have a creative tradition with signing your name on the walls, I came here 4 years ago and returned today. To still see my signature on their walls, the food is just as great, if not betterrr than before. Definitely recommend for any seafood lover.

I have noticed that in the far West end of Park St, Hartford there's always been a seafood place. After coming to Hartford for many many years, I noticed the most recent seafaring food was in that very same district. The Chosen 1 is a restaurant,very much alive and bustling. I pulled into the parking lot just west of the place with plenty of parking. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and noticed it was not too busy at all. I was immediately greeted by a gentleman who brought me to a booth and quickly got me some water. After looking at the menu, I knew I wanted something not to overfilling, but a good representation of the restaurant. Best seafood restaurant. The shovel feeds so much people, a bit expensive bit its so worth it. It is seafood after all, I dont know if they still have it. But bring your own marker and you can draw your name, or something cute on the wall. The service is absolutely out of this world, fast sitting and loving friendly people to take your order's 10/10 recommend.
