Chowder House

What could I say... The Chowder House has a great Chowder! The New England Clam Chowder is excellent, full of clams and potatoes, and flavor, with the perfect consistency! (So good they sell it Togo) Nicely decorated dining area, even a divider here and there makes it private and cozy too! Our server ( Ellie) was pleasant and attentive. Shrimp, haddock, scallops was delish, just the right amount of heat over angel hair pasta with chopped long hots made this dish very tasty! The Maple Thyme Salmon, was extra "special"... cooked perfect, a nice size piece of fish and moist, done just right. The accompanying roasted veggies also grilled nicely and presented well as did the potato/sweet potatoes mixed mashed did and was a pleasant surprise too. We both received the "clean plate award"!

I only have it four stars because there is always room to improve even if you were the very best. My family went for my wife's birthday ( they do give you a few extra deal options for bday or anniversary) everything from the appetizers to the entrees were excellent. Service was very good and waitress was polite even tolerated my joke about kissing the chef ( if you go you'll understand LOL)

An amazing family restaurant on your way from Syracuse to Boston. The host, Viki, gives exceptional treatment to all the guests. And the food is really tasty and fresh. Everything we ordered was really delicious, starting from Clamd Chauder to the amazing scallops and ending with kids dishes. And don't forget to ask about the wine. The one that was suggested by Viki was really light with a gentle wood aroma. We even asked to get a photo of the bottle it was so good.
