Chungwah Golden Star

It's a pickup restaurant with no seating area. It looks clean, and the food arrived quickly. I ordered two dishes: Mongolian beef and pepper steak. It came with white rice. Good portions, the taste is fresh, and the vegetables are crunchy. The meat is tender and flavorful. Recommend taking home and having some good Chinese food.

If you guys want Chinese food on the cheap and delicious in the area....this is it! It's a bit awkward and rare that's inside a gas station...but I was really impressed on the wait time and quality of food. I ordered the bourbon chicken, special fried rice, and wonton/egg drop soup. Super delicious! Chicken cooked well, rice was not oily, the soup you want to eat it all at once, oh and super generous with the portions. If you live or visiting the area and searching a good Chinese restaurant...don't go to the others...trust me I've tried them and you're going to be disappointed...it's not worth it. Like the one on NE 79th st area...disgusting food. It's worth driving here and getting it.

A Hidden Gem with Flavor and Heart! I stopped by Chung Wah Restaurant at 190 NE 119th St and was instantly greeted with warmth and patience by Johanna, the hostess with a gift for guiding indecisive diners like me. I couldn’t make up my mind, but she helped me narrow it down to the perfect combo—5 wings and chicken fried rice. And let me tell you, their food is immaculate. The wings were crispy and seasoned just right, and the fried rice was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Johanna made the experience feel personal and easy, and the food sealed the deal. If you’re craving Chinese food that hits the spot and service that makes you feel like family, Chung Wah is the place. I’ll definitely be back!

The food here is okay, not amazing like the other reviews state. The fried rice and honey garlic chicken wings I received was very bland, nothing really to rave about. Had to put a lot of soy sauce on it. There is better Chinese food with better flavor.

New Favorite Chinese Restaurant. Friendly Staff & Reasonable $$. Hubby loved the Bourbon Chicken & I love the House Specialty "Happy Family". And the Ice Tea is🔥😋
