We searched for places to eat from Boone all the way up to Mtn City and ended in this place, and it did not disappoint! The fried mushrooms were what sold us in stopping there, and 10/10 would recommend every time. Their cheese curds were to die for. We got the BLFT, which was simple and delicious, not too heavy to eat; and a ham sub with pimento cheese added. It was just what we had been looking for. Oh! And their sweet tea tastes like true homemade tea. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 We live all the way in Roanoke and WILL be coming back again.
Man!!! The pizza is delicious or as we say in Hawaii, Ono!! I got a veggie pizza for my elderly mom, and had a slice, found it to be super tasty and ended up eating half the pie! Greeted very warmly and was made sure to have all I needed upon departure. My sister who owns and runs the hawaiian place on main street with her husband recommended you folks and you did not disappoint!! Awesome!!
Tried this for the first time today after driving across the mountain from Stoney Creek. It's a pretty average little diner, not too special but not the worst. Prices are fair for some items, like the daily specials, a regular burger, or a sweet tea, but for some items like the bologna sandwich, it's a bit pricey at almost $7. My partner ordered the Railroad Burger with added on mushrooms and onions, but they were left off, I suppose from a misunderstanding. I ordered a cheeseburger with onion, lettuce, pickles, mayo, and Ketchup, and we both shared the fried mushrooms and Freight Line fries. We did order two large teas and they were 32oz and fresh, though a tad bit on the too sweet side, but very good nonetheless. We waited for about 15 minutes, and they let us turn on an outdoor heater t
Not impressed. Small, tasteless wrap,DRY with NO mayo, bag of chips. Husband got chili potato. Somehow, with 2 drinks and a side it ended up to be 31.00. Not worth it. Also, they ask for tips. It's a walk up window with picnic benches. Won't return
Pizza Flatbread okay. Philly cheese meat stuck in my husband's teeth so he gave half to dog who also had a burger patty. Fries average and more salty than we like. Shakes good.. All outdoor eating, self serve and self cleanup.
