Cipollina

December 2025 This was my first experience at Cipollina which was a neighborhood Italian bistro in a close knit neighborhood. Parking was extremely limited and I can predict at night use ride sharing. We were nicely greeted when we entered the establishment and found a table. Our server was very professional and courteous. It was hard to determine which to try first where all looked good but selected the Pan Seared Red Fish. This was a great place to dine during the day and has a romantic setting for night. They said everything here was freshly made so was a bit excited to try my wife's pasta. Our party of six enjoyed an incredible meal at Cippolina a few nights ago. It was a bustling evening, and the staff was welcoming, cheerful and very helpful. We were excited to try a variety of the restaurant’s gorgeous dishes, from appetizers to mains to desserts. Gracious server, Townes, and the kitchen staff flowed our dishes perfectly, and the charismatic and attentive manager, Zach, recommended the best wine. While we loved everything, our favorites were the garlic knots and meatball appetizers; the grilled rockfish, bolognese with brisket, and spaghetti and meatball entrees. We tried one of every dessert and they were all deliciously outstanding. (Even if you think you have no stomach space left, we recommend getting dessert anyway). We had dinner here for my wife’s birthday and it was great. The service and atmosphere is splendid and the food is of great quality.

While visiting Austin, we were having trouble finding anyplace to park. Everywhere we went, there weren't lots, the lots were full, or our truck didn't fit in the spots. I did a sarcastic Google search along it for relatively inexpensive restaurants with ample parking. That led us to Cipollina. It's a great little place that's tucked in with a few other places. We found a parking spot immediately, so we went in. We were seated and ordered a pizza to share--- they were able to do half and half for us. Very cool. My half was the prosciutto, which was excellent! We decided to go for dessert. Hubs chose the goat cheesecake and I had creme brulee. Both were delicious! These are my favorite garlic knots anywhere! Pasta also delicious, everyone friendly. A great spot.
