City Grille

This restaurant is Awesome! My wife and I took her Dad out to Easter lunch. Flounder was one of the specials. He got fried and I got broiled. My wife ordered the half of a rack of BBQ Ribs. The large amount of food that came on our plates caused to be thinking about a to-go box before we started eating. Great food and Great service. Oh, this is a Greek restaurant. Next time.

My husband and I stopped in at 1:30 pm on Dec 18, 2025. We ordered a ribeye steak meal and a seafood platter. Before ordering baked potatoes as a side we asked if they served butter. We were told yes. The steak was cooked to order but tasted freezer burnt, potatoes very small and they did not have butter as promised, green beans tasted straight out of a can. The cocktail and tartar sauce was frozen so not usable. We asked for lemon three times and were told it would be brought to the table but never was. The plates our food came on seemed oversized foe the amount of food on them and absolutely no eye appeal to the plating. Our meal was definitely not worth what we paid for it. There were very few guests in the resturant at the time so it was not a "busy" time and we notice at least

Overall, a solid 4. I've ate here before but really wanted something different today and just home style. The atmosphere is that of a country restaurant and that was good. Tables were clean and the restaurant was clean. The service was par but it seemed like they were short staffed. Can't really fault the restaurant however because of the current state of the country. Once we ordered, the food arrived quickly. Surprised a little because the menu is large. There is a Greek flair and that is nice. Food came out hot and overall was good. Some improvements could be made but I will go back. Fried squash were absolutely delicious.

We have eaten there twice this week during our visit to Elizabeth City. The food is plentiful, taste great and served hot! Service is great and prices very reasonable. Today, Nicole was very attentive. Definitely a go-to place to eat when hungry. On the way out, the cheesecake looked too good to pass up, so we got two to go. Delicious!

Ordered two piece dark chicken with rice and french fries. Despite me saying no gravy, the chef put gravy on my first rice, and when I got a new set of rice there was SWEET POTATOES in it. I only ate the chicken, felt disgusted at cross contaminated serving utensils. Tried a single fry, not at all seasoned, no salt, nothing. The waitress being polite was the only saving grace of the meal
