City of Festus - Public Works

Set up my water bill payment for autopayment through their third party app (invoice cloud). Zero issues until my water is suddenly shut off 7 months later for being 15 days overdue.Told by public works employee that there are known issues with this third party service randomly not processing payments. Yet public works assumes zero responsibility. I was still charged a reconnection fee and late fees. Do NOT use autopay. Arrived to the public works space to to be greeted by this sign. Salt in the wound. Will be speaking with local representative regarding the water departments operations.

Fastus Water Company is among the most unpleasant entities in the entire world. The water quality is poor, appearing yellow. If you find yourself overdue on your bill and attempt to negotiate, even if it is just a few days late, their staff is rude and unhelpful, which is truly astonishing. They show a complete lack of concern. They will disconnect your water service regardless of whether you have a child with a disability or not; this makes it a dreadful district to reside in. I would never ever ever tell anybody to use this district because they are poor customer service. The two ladies there are very disrespectful and rude.

For two years now at our location we have had to deal with constantly dirty, filthy water. Their solution? To call for flushes. This is unacceptable and I will be reaching out to news outlets to get this covered.

Drivers are not safe. I had passed a utility truck, F150 I believe and apparently he did not like it. He proceeded to tailgate my vehicle while I have kids in the vehicle. Me being me an slightly upset at his behavior I waved him off when he was getting ready to turn and he proceeded to follow me down the road more rather than turning. When he did I went to his origin facility No.5 and snapped a photo of the truck he drove but wasn't clear enough for a plate. Person was stocky looking with white baseball cap and I believe black hoodie. He went inside before I could say something. Incident happened today at around 845 am.

I am set up on auto pay. But yet I still got charged for a water shut off for not paying my bill. I didn't change anything with my autopay and because the system didn't collect it they shut me off , with no warning no phone call no nothing. The lady that answers the phone tells me that its still my responsibility look at my bill. I did look at my bill. How was I supposed to know the city was going to mess up my auto pay? I don't know the lady's name, bu she has a very smart mouth. Then top it off when I paid $25 to have they come out and turn my water back on, she also didn't inform me that I had to be home to have it turned on.
