City of Rio Rancho Department of Public Works

I have sent several emails and called and left several messages with this department trying to let them know that there's no street sign at the end of my street and that it's causing issues for the school bus drivers. Especially when we have a substitute driver. I imagine this could potentially be an issue for emergency vehicles as well as things like Uber Eats Etc. The first email I sent was before school was out last school year and nothing has happened still...

Trying to contact and get a final response from a certain public works employee (who will remain unnamed) was an exercise in frustration. Had to call from a different number each time to get him to answer. When contacted, each time he said he had to talk with his supervisor and promised to call back in 15 minutes. You guessed it; he never called back. I've worked in government for many decades and if I tell you I'll do something I'll do it. It's my job, and my word.

Whoever decided to close Northern blvd and divert all of the traffic onto a residential dirt road during a rainstorm should be fired. The department’s care of dirt roads is poor enough as it is, and now traffic is increased tenfold for who knows how long. Road is already a rutted out mudslide and I’m sure it won’t be fixed promptly. Doesn’t get much dumber than this.

None every answers the phone when caking for assistance. After repeatedly leaving messages I got a call back 3 days later to find out they didn't know where to direct me. Horrible public service but not surprising in this day and age when everything is automated and you can't get a live person.

Incompetence. Water bill has incorrect information. They put my husband's middle initial as his first name and my maiden name as my last name. Turned off our water AFTER we PAID our first bill!! We just bought the house 8/9/17.
