Salmon was delicious fingerlings were bland brussel sprouts good crab cakes were with that lettuce on the side of it posing as a salad was just okay lemon pepper wings were odd -too big too much breading only tasted salt no lemon pepper breading was one step away from being burnt for the price of the meal couldn’t believe we got one small saucer with two very very small tiny wedges of cornbread for two people -that was comical!! Very long luxurious hair strand in my water…all that for $92!
Great atmosphere, modern yet holding to the historic charm. Had the crab cakes for appetizer, shrimp and grits for dinner... and it was absolutely perfect. Service was on point and genuinely kind and caring. Our server was an Ohio gal who truly embraced southern hospitality. Will return and look forward to what the new chef brings next! Please keep doing what you are doing.
We stopped by City Pharmacy on a Sunday morning for some brekky/brunch. The restaurant is in beautiful Covington, Georgia a little hidden gem of a town with an amazing inside. The food was amazing and really enjoyed! The vibes inside are great and I would totally come back here!!
Our reservation for Sunday, August 10th at 10 am was one of the best decisions we made. From the moment we arrived, the staff proved to be absolutely amazing and a true pleasure to talk with. As a dedicated fan of Bloody Marys, I can confidently declare that they serve the absolute best I've ever tasted. Beyond the exceptional drinks, the food was equally delicious. I wholeheartedly recommend the Shrimp and Grits; trust me, you won't be disappointed. But perhaps the most delightful discovery for a true Southerner like myself was their sweet tea – this is genuinely the only place that holds firm on the authentic, sweet, southern tea tradition. Seriously, get the tea; it's a game-changer!
City Pharmacy is our favorite dinner spot in Covington. Or, at least it used to be - but the new chef is getting better. Located right on the corner in the charming old town square. The space is so unique and the bar beautifully designed. Delicious steak entree last night, perfectly cooked. Mashed potatoes prepared perfectly and the asparagus so fresh, crisp and savory. The fried chicken was also delicious. Keep it up! P.S. Please bring back the charcuterie board, we loved it! 😋
