There are wedding cakes, and then there is City Sweets. Working with Deborah was like working with a close friend who genuinely wanted to make sure we chose the cake of our dreams in both vision and taste. As someone who chooses her dessert before choosing her main course, our wedding cake was extremely important to me in every aspect, and City Sweets went beyond my expectations. We chose two flavors (coconut cake with dark chocolate ganache & Champagne cake with three berry filling) and could not get enough of either! I am not typically a fan of fondant, but Debra uses an imported type that tasted light and “marshmallowy”, instead of that heavy plastic that people usually scrape off to the side! I can't recommend City Sweets & Confections enough! Deborah was so sweet, patient and accommodating! She has a variety of flavors and fillings to choose from and they all taste amazing! She worked with our budget and created a beautiful cake! I initially sent her design ideas and cakes that I liked, and she created a cake design that was beyond what I ever imagined! And the final product was even better! The cake was beautiful and our family and friends could not stop talking about it! I would highly recommend her!

On July 9,2022 Deborah Lauren and City Sweets helped us secure the MOST delicious cake for our wedding. The many flavor choices were sampled and narrowed down, with the Madagascar vanilla bean the forks down winner. Our pink and purple colors were honored with subtle flowers placed on the tiers. Every guest raved about this moist, delicious wedding cake. Although Natalie and I were told by family to save the top tier of our cake for our anniversary, we could not see leaving any part of it to sit in a freezer. We ate slivers over the entire week following our beautiful nuptials. We saved the last piece to share with family members who were absent due to Covid. It was just as moist and sweet one week later. Deborah is great to work with! Got a 5-tier cake for my sister's wedding and it looked beautiful! Me and my sister had a very successful cake-testing and was offered very good recommendations on what flavors were paired best. Since I was in charge of the cake, I was able to meet with Deborah multiple times to talk about the design and everything else. Also got to have some cake during our meetings! The design of the wedding cake was very detailed and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding cake that looks great and also tastes great! Alot of the guests at the wedding enjoyed the cake and I like how we were able to have a different flavor for each tier of the cake.

Deborah was incredibly thoughtful from start to finish. Her cakes are delicious and our wedding guests loved her Prosecco cake with three berry filling. Additionally, I have a gluten allergy and tried many bakeries that are "known" for their gluten free cakes, but Deborah makes the best. Our guests had no idea! We attended another wedding a year later and her cake was again delicious. If you want a cake that is guaranteed to be delicious City Sweets & Confections is your place.
