Ordered a birthday cake for 8-10ppl with dulce leche filling, and fruit on top.The baker recommended meringue icing. When I got there the box was tapped shut and I snuck a peak inside and looked okay, icing maybe a little runny so I asked her if she thinks it would be okay for a 25 min drive because it was very hot out. I would have gone to a gas station and gotten a styrofoam cooler and ice to keep the cake cool but she said it would be fine. After I got home, I took the tape off the sides and I was so disappointed to see that the icing melted and some of the fruit has run off the cake. The fruit is wet on top and to be honest the decoration was really disappointing. Not only are the slices very minimal but they are not cut well. A $40 cake, I should’ve just gone with Publix. Loved Thomas the Train cake, for my kids birthday!!! I was a but skeptical as how the cake might come out, when checking, who can make a custom cake for my kid's 4th day. I was amazed at Martha's perfection on getting it to what I expected. We ordered a marble flavor and it tasted good. Everyone at the party loved it. Would definitely recommend whoever would want to go for a custom cake.
