Cochiti Swim Beach

Relaxing & quite, but it was a Tuesday, 7/15/25, afternoon & weekends have higher volumes. They have a gated like area for swimming. No animals allowed or grilling, but they do offer a picnic area for day use or camping which is a drive away from the beach. The water was warm, but cool enough to relax. I suggest wearing swimming shoes as their are small stones when you first get in and algae. There are bathrooms but they don't have running water so bring hand sanitizer & not much upkeep on cleaning. If you need a shower you'll have to go to the camping grounds side which has running water & showers. It is inexpresive as its $5 for day use which can be purchased with a card at the electronic pay station near the beach. My little family loved it & didn't want to leave.

Good swim area for family. Swim shoes would be helpful can be very rocky.

This is a great place to bring your kids, kayaks, paddleboard, and a lot more. The only thing that you cannot do is boat. It is extremely shallow water. I went about 100 feet out from shore and the water was only up to my waist. An0ther good thing about this place is that about 100 feet away from the swim beach part is a great place to fish. Overall a great place

Water shoes needed. More blue algae than ever before. I love the tables for eating and bathrooms nearby. Fee for parking card or cash.

Really nice area, but other people invade your space, they don’t care , blasting their music, it’s very rude, now if they spoke English I would have been able to speak to them
