Took the suggestion of the owner of the Rodeway Inn and we were very pleased. We came in during what appeared to be an unexpected crush of people. They seemed to be a little short handed as well. We got seated pretty quickly, but waited a while for our order to be taken. The phone rang incessantly, presumably for takeout orders. I had Pad See Ew with seafood. It included shrimp, scallops, and squid, with wide noodles, carrots, cabbage, and other stuff. Wife had Pad Thai with chicken. Both were delicious but the squid was overcooked and chewy. Also my wife's food came out about 5 minutes before mine. This place could easily have been 5 stars across the board but little things make a difference. Still really good and worth trying. Great Thai, Lao, Vietnamese food.
The staff was super friendly and attentive. Food came out hot and delicious. There is only 2 places I will eat pad thai at and one of them is here! Recently went out of my comfort zone and got the drunken noodles and they did not disappoint. 10/10 recommend!
My new favorite place in town. The food is delicious. They taste better than they look and they have the best shrimp in a blanket. So far, I've only had good experiences here. They cater to my requests and frequently check up on us. This place is really a hidden gem. Kinda don't want people to know so it doesn't get crowded but my friends kept on asking where I'm eating these food at so I had to share the place.
Not what I expected .. I was very excited about trying the food here but it was not that great. There’s definitely better options in this town. We ordered the fried rice and pad Thai. The fried rice was flavorless to the point where you have to add all the sauces provided on the table to give it flavor. The pad Thai level spice four tasted like palm sugar. Pad Thai tasted like literal noodles covered in sugar glaze. It tasted like I was taking licks from the palm sugar straight from the bag. The waitress was very nice and the half atmosphere is what makes the place plus the plate presentation.
These are the pork fried rice, pad see ew, and beef pho from Coconut Cafe in Merced! 🥥 I haven’t been to Coconut Cafe in a while, but the food was better than I thought! The fried rice actually had a good flavor, and it wasn’t bland! ^-^ The pad see ew had good flavor to it too, and it was a pretty big portion! The pho broth also was nice too! Our server was great, and maybe I’ll come here more often!
