Coffee Girl Downtown

What a cute and quaint little gem in downtown Hilo! The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly staff and the lovely, cozy ambiance that made me want to stay awhile. I ordered a Cappuccino with oat milk, and it was absolutely perfect — you can really taste the distinct quality espresso, just the way I like it. I also tried the chicken pesto panini and avocado toast (loaded with all the fixings), plus a refreshing strawberry mango lemonade that hit the spot. To top it off, I couldn’t resist grabbing a cute souvenir coffee cup to take home — the perfect reminder of how adorable this place is. Highly recommend stopping by Coffee Girl if you’re in Hilo — great coffee, great vibes, and even better people!

It's a cute place but I think that's probably the best thing about it. I've been to this location a few times now, and each time I've been it's the same girl taking the orders, making the drinks, working the kitchen, and cleaning up. I feel like the quality of my experience has suffered each time because it's hard to enjoy myself and the beautiful decor when the sole person in charge of nearly everything about the shop is overwhelmed. The drinks could be better (mix ups between hot/iced, specialty drinks lacking in presentation + flavor), the muffin selection isn't as great as the other location if available at all, and it's tough to order the actual food like the toast if there's anyone else in the shop at the same time as you because there's no help to keep things running while the one p

Awesome little shop. Wife and I stopped by for the first time and totally enjoyed ourselves. Worth a try.
