Cold Stone Creamery

Yikes, I'm sorry to see so many negative experiences with this location though I'm also not a regular. Has been at least a year since I've even been to a Cold Stone. I didn't have a chance to stay to eat, which is why I'm keeping this review open at a 4. The staff was friendly & conversational. They asked if I wanted a waffle cone. We had no issues with the ice cream 🍨

I placed an online order for a cake with writing. I was surprised that it was ready a couple hours prior to the pick up time, after reading some reviews. I picked up the cake not verifying that the writing was correct because I was rushing. I was extremely embarrassed when we took the cake out of the bag to sing happy birthday. First of all, this cake looks like it’s been sitting in the freezer and the strawberries were freezer burned, and let me just say the writing was super horrible. I love cold stone cakes but they need to do better with training employees on their writing skills. Nowadays customers trust that when they place birthday cake orders that the writing would be nice especially because they want to post pictures.

Today is the day after Christmas. My family and I showed up at Cold Stone right at opening time. My 8 year old had a "kids ice cream day" coupon from a coupon book he had received in his stocking. When we were about to walk in the door, an employee (or possible manager) met us outside. He compassionately explained that they were having some construction delays in their dining room due to a small emergency they had experienced recently. He told us he was very sorry, and offered us some free waffle cone coupons for when they reopened in a few days. He was very genuine, but at this point it was still a very corporate type response. After speaking with him for a few more minutes, he went significantly out of his way, very unexpectedly, to make this unfortunate event into a wonderful experience

Every single time (about 5 times now) we’ve placed an online order it’s not ready when we get there. As in, the ticket is still on the machine and no one’s even bothered to look. The store has been completely empty sometimes! Other times the store was busy, so I’ll give them that, but then we had to wait in the long line to remind them to make the order (defeats the purpose of an online order.) The ticket machine that prints orders is hidden in the corner and no one bothers to check it consistently. Then, we ordered an ice cream cake over the phone a few days in advanced, was told it would be ready by noon that Saturday, and the cake was still being worked on when my husband showed up at 1. The cake is absolutely horrible. It was supposed to say “happy birthday Alissa” and came out “happy

Came in today to get the lucky charm ice cream. Image on the left is what is on the add. Image on the right is what we got. No marshmallows, no topping of any kind. I would have asked for them to fix it but the already present attitude of one of the girls behind the counter made me say never mind because i didnt want to deal with the attitude of asking her to fix it. I just added my own marshmallows to it when I got home. Definitely won't be coming back to this location.
