Cold Stone Creamery

The ice cream was delicious. The staff was kind. Our service was fast and friendly. There is a large variety of flavors for every flavor palette. I would recommend. Located in the heart of downtown Springfield, it is close to the Old State Capitol building.

From the moment I walked in, he was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely enthusiastic. He was patient while I decided on flavors and gave great recommendations that turned out to be perfect. Anshul made my ice cream quickly and carefully, mixing everything just right and making sure it looked as good as it tasted. What really stood out was his positive attitude — he made the whole experience fun and memorable. It’s clear he cares about customers and takes pride in his work. Customer service like that makes all the difference. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I hope Anshul is there again!

I’ve known this ice cream shop for a long time and I know their ice cream is very good. However, my recent experience in this location was very disappointing. I entered with my clearly identified service dog, and one of the employees told me I couldn’t come in with it. He suggested I leave my dog outside or even at the Subway next door. I explained that this is my service dog and offered to show her identification if needed. Instead of handling the situation properly, the employee started making excuses, including scratching his throat and claiming he was allergic. I respectfully told him I could move farther away, as I only wanted to sit down briefly while my husband ate his ice cream. It was upsetting and uncomfortable to be treated this way, especially when service animals are legall

Their ice cream is so so good! I took my friend here on our way home from St. Louis on Sunday, July 13th, 2025. I got the Chocolate Devotion and he got a shake. While the ice cream tastes good and the experience was great, the staff were very unfriendly and kind of rude. The lady was new, in all fairness, but please, we were the only two people in there, you weren’t busy or rushed, no need to be rude. The man was pretty helpful though and teaching her things along the way. Anyway, good experience. (Written 7-23-25)

MONEY!! Ice cream is by far the greatest dessert in the world. Cold and creamy and delicious. Goldstone has a great product and a good setup for add ins. I had caramel ice cream with pecan add-ins and caramel sauce drizzled over. It was so delicious!
