Colonels B & B

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our New Year's eve stay at this beautiful bed and breakfast (less than 15 min drive from downtown Athens). It was our first time there and we hope to be back again! Colonel Mark was very attentive with responding to my questions over the phone and then in person. We booked the room with the jacuzzi, which was a nice touch. The homemade breakfast by the colonel was delicious. We also enjoyed strolling around the grounds. We would highly recommend!

I planned to attend the Children's Literature Conference in Athens and struggled to get a reservation at the convention center. I easily obtained a lovely room at the Colonels B & B. The Colonels is only a couple of turns from downtown Athens. The home is full of lovely antiques and very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the formal breakfast setting and delicious entrees. The gated entry made me feel safe. I felt quite at home. I highly recommend this location.

My husband and I stayed at the Colonels on our wedding night. We were so pleased with how sweet and attentive Colonel Mark is. He clearly loves his guests and his community and far exceeded our expectations. He made us feel like family from the very moment he picked us up from our reception venue. We got the private bathroom, and the Jacuzzi is huge! Colonel Mark even gave us a little bath kit with bubbles, lotion, soap, and salts. It was such a wonderful experience. The room we stayed in was so nice and overlooked the fields where the horses stay. It was really quiet in the house, which made for a deep sleep after such a busy day. There is no place quite like this B & B. The house, landscape, and rooms are absolutely beautiful. Colonel Marc and his hospitality is exceptional. The rooms are so clean and very comfortable. Did I mention the breakfast that Colonel Marc prepares every morning?? That is a treat within itself. This is a place that we will be coming back to on a regular basis.

What a wonderful choice in staying here. Beautiful setting, wonderful accommodations, the furnishings were absolutely amazing. It was everything I was hoping for and more. Our room overlooked the family pool and horse pasture, which we walked around before the rains hit. If you get a chance, take a walk and enjoy the beauty of the property.
