Mother's Day Buffet '24. I generally start out giving five stars and start taking away points and they certainly put in the effort to earn those five but a bit of a late start on Mother's Day. It isn't like they didn't know it was coming. I think that contributed to some food being lukewarm and when asking for coffee, they had to search for espresso and tea. It was a bit expensive, but Mom is worth it. However, those things aside, it was excellent overall experience. A feast for the eyes and ears. They had a live violinist. The selection of food was well thought out. I am pleased. I would definitely return. My niece says it was "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious."
The food is excellent. We had not stopped by the Fairmont in years. At that time the lobby lounge didn't have much of a menu. Now they have a great menu! My wife had crabcakes and I had a burger. We also ordered mashed potatoes and a flatbread pizza. Everything was great. The lobby lounge area is very relaxing. They have a full bar with sports on TV that you can see from anywhere in the lounge. It's fun to just sit and watch all kinds of people come and go from the hotel. There was a wedding reception in the back area when we visited, and they had live jazz. Prices are a little high, but not as much as the formal restaurant Juniper. A great place to eat if you have some time and are willing to pay a little premium for a quality informal meal.
Very friendly staff. Had both lunch and dinner here and the atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming and sophisticated. The food is very good! Had pancakes for breakfast and they were melt in your mouth. For lunch I had crab cakes and it was savory. Right sized portions.
Grabbed a cappuccino here. For $7 it was meh. The atmosphere was very upscale.
Delicious food, great desserts. Overall we have been consistently please each time we come here. Food typically not too heavy - even the beef ragu. Not cheap, but good food - expect hotel restaurant pricing.
