The only thing I left wondering was how this place isn’t packed. I grew up on the Italian Market in Philly and my grandmother’s gravy, so I know good Italian when I taste it, and this was, hands down, the best Italian food I’ve had in Syracuse. And believe me, I’ve tried them all. We stopped in on a whim and started with the wedge salad, which had a unique and fresh twist on the classic. For dinner, we enjoyed perfectly cooked pasta and the most flavorful chicken cutlet, and we couldn’t resist adding the meatball and sausage Italian street food sandwich to our order. Everything was fantastic. They even have their own beer in collaboration with a local brewery, and both the wine and martinis were excellent. The menu may look small at first glance, but there are plenty of ways to personali

I highly recommend eating here before it becomes impossible to get a table. Everything we had was outstanding. The cutlets were incredible—perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. The pasta was cooked to a flawless al dente, and the sauce had a rich flavor with just the right kick of spice to take it to another level. Even the bread and olive oil, which sounds simple, really stood out and complemented the meal beautifully. And the arancini… I could honestly eat them like popcorn. Desserts weren’t our favorite, but to be fair, we didn’t come here for dessert—we came for the dinner and in that department this place absolutely delivers. We’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I finally decided to check out Colucci on Westcott Street last night. (Formerly the Beer Belly Deli) Now I’m sorry we waited so long! (They have been open just over a year now) Everything was delicious! (I tried several non GF items - I have gluten sensitivity, not an allergy) We started with risotto balls that were super cheesy inside and nice and crispy on the outside. The meatballs were also delicious. (So was the crunchy bread) I had the Cavatelli & Broccoli with GF pasta and it was absolutely delicious! The broccoli was fresh and had a perfect bit of crunch to it, and the pasta was perfectly el dente (difficult to do with GF pasta), and the sauce was perfect (wish there was more of it!). And the grilled chicken…boy o boy, it was perfectly grilled, and surprisingly

Finally, an authentic Italian place that is actually worth the hype! My husband booked a reservation for us last night for dinner and it was absolutely phenomenal! We were so pleased by the quality of all of our dishes, as well as the incredible flavor of everything we tried. The Suppli was incredible, as well as the Antipasti. We had the chicken cutlets with the fresh pasta and besiamella sauce, and the lasagna as our entree. The portions were generous, and the promise of old world Italian cooking was not left unkept. The presentation was flawless and we left planning another night out to be able to come back and try more dishes. The entree menu is smaller than most restaurants, but that to me means that the ingredients were fresh (and you can definitely tell by the flavor), and it honest

We had an excellent time at Colucci. The atmosphere and service were great. The fried mozzarella appetizer and cavatelli and broccoli were amazing. We had to taste a little of everything. The meatballs were just like grandma's, and the chicken cutlet was perfect! Don't forget to save some room because the tiramisu was excellent.
