Comfort Inn Blacksburg University Area

I really enjoyed my stay here! The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating both at check in and check out. Hotel was quiet in the evening and had a full breakfast in the morning! If ever passing through the area again, I would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend staying here if you are trying to stay somewhere cheap, safe and comfortable!

Positive: Staff was kind and accommodating. Negative: Rooms are a little musty, but I've been in and seen much worse at other hotels. In the south its to be expected.

Window: Spotlight outside pointed right at room window and VERY bright. Even with all curtains closed it lit up the room at night. Door: "Do Not Disturb" tag hangs fine on handle INSIDE the room but too small to properly hang on larger handle OUTSIDE the room, keeps falling off. Bathroom: no body wash, only 2 very small pieces of soap which wouldn't last a day for 2 people. Caulk around tub missing and dirty. Plastic toilet seat very cheap and loose, missing screw cover on back, could see uncleaned urine stains on screw. Breakfast: Bananas were so ripe and soft I wouldn't use them even for banana bread. When asked Hostess said "People like soft bananas"... Okay, but there were ONLY soft bananas with black bruises available, no normal yellow bananas. Sausage gravy for biscuits was all gr

This hotel, all in all, is ok. The toilet was running the entire time, but the beds are fairly comfortable and it seems relatively quiet and safe. Some updates would be nice.....loose plugs, old doors, just kinda "meh". However, I needed something last minute and considering it was game day, I am glad to have found something not terribly expensive.

Well let me start off by saying “Caroline “ Front desk help is one of a kind . Pure Niceness,!! Kind!! Professional on all level’s . She has made this stay nothing but Smiles Every Time. As Old Marine I Salute and thank Comfort INN . If she isn’t a Manager I hope this reaches the one’s who can really make Something Happen !! Thanks a Million again .
