Copain Bakery & Provisions - Winston-Salem

A very beautiful and pleasant place, with French music that makes you feel a little bit like you're in Europe, in addition to the decor. The service was very good and fast, there was no queue when we went and there were some places to sit (the space is actually very large). They have some really charming outdoor tables if you prefer. We got some bread and croissants to take away. They were delicious. I found the price a little high, but we should go back to try more items.

I stopped in Copain to try some of their 🍰 🍞 pastries and pick up a special birthday 🎂🍪 dessert. What I loved most was the atmosphere. I felt transported to a French patisserie and wanted to stay a while. They do serve ☕ coffee and espresso drinks as well. When it comes to breads and pastries, you can't beat their 🍫 chocolate 🥐 croissant, regular croissant, macarons, cookies, brownies, eclairs and more. The service is also excellent. They also have ♿ handicap accessible 🅿️ parking, seating, and 🚻 restrooms.

My friend and I went to Copain for the first time today. What a joy! I had my eye on the Sun-dried Tomato Basil Cheddar Scone but asked if they would be able to heat it up. She said of course! She looked a little taken aback that I would have to ask that. So I explained that I had been somewhere else and they wouldn’t heat their food or cinnamon roll and it was disappointing. Let me just say this about Copain…Yum!!! The scone was delicious and the apple Hand Pie was wonderful!! I ate every crumb and their decaf was VERY good. We sat in there chatting for 3 hours and they actually stopped by and asked how our first visit went. It was very nice that they recognized us because they were quite busy. I will definitely return. I see a warmed cinnamon roll in my future!

Cute bakery. Kind of an all-show / no-go for me, however. The pastries are beautiful but didn’t taste very fresh. The doughnuts were very dry and dense and the croissants were pretty crunchy. Great place to hang and the staff is super friendly, but it was easily double or triple the cost of other bakeries in Winston. For 3 doughnuts, a cookie, a croissant, and a slice of tiramisu was just under $50.

Needed to burn some time and stumbled upon this gem. I got the chocolate croissant and a hazelnut iced latte. They had several fall flavors going on as well. The croissant tasted good. The latte was bold and flavorful. There’s PLENTY of space to sit, talk, read, study, or just enjoy your food. The service was friendly and quick. I’ll be coming here more often!
