The staff is so friendly. I come back often just to chat. But the drinks are awesome, too. I love the Old Fashioned here. My friend had a alcohol free Ceasar and she said it was great. We had split the ribs and sweet potatoes appetizer and it was a delicious, gluten free choice. Great job last night, guys!

The copper onion has become my fiance and i’s favorite date night spot. The service is always exceptional. Last night I had the Christmas cosmo and it was delicious. I’ve tried multiple martinis here all being exceptional. The shrimp ravioli was the most delicious thing I’ve probably ever eaten in my life. Thank you always!!

​Copper Onion Bistro has half the puzzle solved: the service is delightful and the cheese curds are life-changing. Seriously, the Hatch Cheese Curds ($13) are mandatory. ​The other half of the puzzle—the steak—is a bit of a tragedy. My NY Strip ($40) was so thin and dry I wondered if it had been hand-cut from a leather sole. For a "hand-cut" steak in Big Sky Country, it was a massive letdown. My French Onion Soup was a ghost (it never appeared), and the Truffle Fries were more of a mayo-drizzle situation than a truffle experience. ​I stayed silent because the waiter was so incredibly nice, but consider this my "heads up" to fellow diners: Stick to the apps and enjoy the friendly vibes!

What a great meal. The chicken bacon ranch pizza was very good. Adam was our server and he made the evening so much more fun.

My friend had her wedding reception at Copper Onion Bistro. The food a drink service was great. I have been there 2 more times this same month of January 2026. I have had great food all 3 visits. They are my new martini spot here in Billings because they made my key lime Pie martini just the way I like it! The main full time bartender has an insane memory of names and drinks people order, they way they like to order. Food I’ve ordered: Steak tacos- REALLY good- better than any of the Mexican restaurants’ tacos in Billings. The meat quality here trumps the lower quality non seasoned meat at other places. Chicken Marsala- great dish. I will order both of these meals again. Great fries as well! I’ve had 3 good experiences back to back on food, environment, and drinks! I will be going here m
