Cottage in the Woods B&B

What a lovely place to stay nestled in a wooded area only a few miles from Ricketts Glen. Clay greeted us with a friendly smile and allowed us to check in a little early since our room was ready. After hiking, we soaked in the clawfoot bath tub, in a large bathroom which was immaculate. The bed was very comfortable the decor in the bedroom very inviting and relaxing. We are looking forward to our next say and highly recommend the Cottage in the Woods. Helen & Ken Johnstone

This is a unique B & B, and if you're planning to visit Ricketts Glen State Park, this place is ideal. They offer different experiences depending on which choice of sleeping accommodations you choose. There are themed suites, a large two story tree house, and owners Clay and Dave were very hospitable, and the accommodations are spotlessly clean. An assortment of fresh fruit, French toast, and pancakes, bacon and sausages were served for breakfast. There are expansions in progress including a Taxidermy Museum and a Bakery / Coffee Shop. It is located just two miles from Ricketts Glen State Park, which features incredible hiking on well maintained trails, with some spots that are very challenging. I stayed here with friends on a girls trip to the waterfalls. Claytonna and her husband were the most welcoming hosts! They shared their home and themselves with us in the brief time we were there. We arrived, they got us all set up, and then they retired to their private quarters. In the morning they made us the most delicious breakfast, and we got to meet their grandbabies. The suite had everything we needed. We enjoyed our coffee on the porch.

Our stay at the Cottage in the woods was phenomenal. Claytonna and her husband Dave were fantastic hosts; they made a wonderful fire pit and served a delicious breakfast for us. The location and accommodations are fantastic as well. I would recommend this to anyone who is in the area. We had a 10/10 stay!

I was pleasantly surprised with the stay. The ratings here are well deserved. Claytonna was graciously accommodating and provided an excellent meal. This being my first bed & breakfast set an expectation that will be hard to beat! Thanks Claytonna!
