We stopped in for dinner from a recommendation from the front desk manager at our hotel across the street. When you walk in, you order at the kitchen door and then grab a drink at the bar, pick a table and relax. As I was reviewing the menu inside, two local patrons told me you can’t go wrong with the patty melt. So I ordered one with fries. I’ll be honest, this was one of the best patty melts that I’ve ever had. That thick, juicy, locally sourced hamburger was outstanding along with the grilled onions, cheese and grilled rye bread just melted in my mouth. The fries were ok, nothing special. Loved the vibe in the bar along with all of the dollar bills on the ceiling. All of the staff were super friendly. Definitely recommend - check them out.
Nestled next to beautiful tree-covered hills, this eatery has that cozy inviting feel that makes you want to stay awhile. We ordered a chicken sandwich and a pastrami sandwich, both were juicy and stacked just right. The cocktails are very reasonably priced, we had one priced at $5! This place is also a playground for grownups, with pool tables, darts, and a fun atmosphere that keeps the good times rolling. Look up, and you will spot dollar bills on a portion of the ceiling, it might have something to do with the tradition of pinning dollars to the ceiling as a good-luck charm. The staff is super friendly, making you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. Great food and great people!
Took our food Togo as there is one picnic table that was being used. Ladies were friendly, they do each order at a time. So took 15 minutes to make our order. Burger and grilled cheese were nothing to rave about. Large portion of fries but they couldn’t eat them so ended up being thrown out.
Great food and great service. Came here for a bite to eat and to watch the football game. The burgers were thick and flavorful, the pickle chips came with homemade ranch, and the drinks were very reasonably priced. I will come back when I’m back in town.
I love staying away from chains and getting recommendations from local people for restaurants. This place did not disappoint. It's a bar, and a grill. We went on a weeknight, and there were only about 5 people in the place. Its casual. You get your drinks at the bar and order your food across the room at the grill. the bartender was friendly, a football game was on the TV and the locals were welcoming. The cook also was friendly and helpful. the burgers we got were great and also BIG! A Woodstove in the back kept the building warm, which was appreciated as it was cold and rainy when we were there. The cook told us that they must have been mentioned in an international travel site, as during the summer they had groups of travelers come from Germany, France etc. It was a perfect place to r
