Crab Barn

Visiting area and wanted to enjoy a special Birthday meal outing for my husband. The bar atmosphere is great. Local art work up on walls.Some for sale. The service was fantastic. We went at 1130 am on 7/26./25 Greeted by a very welcoming staff. Drinks were Great. Nice selection. Menu excellent choices. Got Apps - stuff mushroom and Alaskan snow crabs yum.

We did take-out & they were busy with sit downs. If you like Old Bay seasoning on your food, the crabcakes have plenty. They are delicious. The Maryland Crab soup is hearty but a bit too much tomato for my taste buds. The soft shell crab sandwich is flavorful & crunchy. Give this place a try!

We really enjoy Crab Barn. I prefer to sit on the right side of the restaurant. it's a bit echoey to begin with and the bar is on the left side so when there is live music it's too loud for me. This visit between the 3 of us we had cheese steak egg rolls, Cesar salad, steamed shrimp, corn on the cob, baked potato, green beans, lobster tail, french fries, and snow crab. The only thing I would not get again is the cheesesteak egg rolls. It’s not that they were bad, however the rolls themselves were very basic and lacking flavor. It came with a sauce that was very smokey and very spicy. There wasn’t any info regarding the sauce on the menu so I dipped into it thinking it was a burger sauce. Woooo boy was I surprised, haha!!! Everything else was great and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Snow

More like “not applicable.” Called ahead to ask if they had all you can eat crabs.” Arrived about an hour later, about 6:45. One table with 6-8 customers and nobody else. Bar seemed busy. We were told they were “out of all you can eat…just $50/dozen. We left, so really cannot rate them honestly. The staff was very nice, server even went to the back to see if they could accommodate, but no. Certainly the staff was very friendly. But, a relatively empty restaurant. A customer who had called ahead. Only one of us getting crabs. Figure it out. The most I would have eaten was 2 dozen, after which my wife gets bored. Disappointing to say the least. I guess they’re better off with empty tables. Hopefully the bar will keep them in business.

Our server was very accommodating but everything else was a mixed bag. Cream of Crab Soup was lousy. Maryland Crab Soup was good. Peel and Eat shrimp was excellent. Hush puppies were mid. NY Strip very good. Prime Rib not so much. Flounder Sandwich was good. Fries on the side were terrible! We ordered some from one dozen blue crabs. Overall 5/10. They came 20 min after other food and without mallets. After we asked they found one mallet. A few minutes later they found a second and a few minutes after that a third. There were 4 of us at the table. The butter was butter flavored corn oil. I asked the food runner to bring me apple cider vinegar, he brought me balsamic dressing.
