I recently tried the shrimp fried rice at Crab World and I’d give it a 2.5/5. The portion size was decent, but there wasn’t enough shrimp compared to the amount of rice. It felt like mostly rice with a few pieces of shrimp mixed in. The flavor was okay — not bad, but not particularly memorable either. With so many solid takeout spots around the city, I’d probably choose another option next time. It wasn’t terrible, but it didn’t stand out enough for me to return.
Their fried rice is different and it hit when you in the mood for something new. It has an original taste I’ve only had here and the chicken has that crispy carry out taste you crave with the good mumbo sauce. The Happy Family order is my favorite thing on the menu, I recommend it.
I ordered through Uber Eats. Was kind of disappointed with my selections. Out of all the crab boil places on the app I chose this one and the food was mediocre. I purchased the 1/2 lb of garlic butter shrimp along with the Cajun shrimp fried rice with sausage. The shrimp were ok but could’ve used more fresh garlic. The rice was super bland. You can taste some of the what was supposed to be Cajun flavor. Or a dish I would recommend. Wasn’t too impressed. On another note they were closing within an hour and they prepared and sent out my purchase super quick. 20/25 min delivery
Let me save you the trouble: do not waste your time or money here. From the moment I walked in, the energy was off. The manager clearly missed the “hospitality” memo — rude, dismissive, and acting like customers are an inconvenience instead of the reason the lights stay on. Our waiter? Completely inattentive and unkind. He acted like taking our order was a chore, rolled his eyes when we asked questions, and disappeared for half the meal. Drinks sat empty, appetizers were delayed, and when we finally got our food, it felt like an afterthought. Crab World gives “we don’t care” energy from the top down — the type of place that coasts off the name while forgetting basic respect and service. There are too many good seafood spots in the city to settle for this kind of treatment. Go literally a
The service is great, lady at the front is very nice and they’re very generous. They pre-crack the king crab legs down the middle to help it marinate! Lady hooked us up bc we had a big order. We got blue crab, king crab, lobster tail, sausage, shrimp. Food was incredible and delicious. Tiramisu dessert was great! Ended up eating some and taking the rest to go. Super filling. Bags come with some potatoes and corn by default.
