We ordered crab n corn was cooked with way tooo much oil with no flavor. The mussels are yummy n the shrimp was also soaking in oil with no flavor. My advice as a cook use less oil Ur not frying ur steaming. It was our first time here n disappointed.

Food is not bad, but salty. Some of the sauces for the seafood boils taste the same. But the food comes out piping hot, so be ready to get your hands dirty!

Had an amazing experience eating at Crab Mentality. The food was so good, had the garlic butter and Cajun sauce with spice. Service was quick and was provided with all things we needed to keep clean. Haven’t been to the boiling crab yet but it’s so nice to have a good seafood boil close to home without having to drive in the valley! Highly recommend!

This place is the worst. Order dine in and employees were rude and didn’t knew what was going on in their end. We switch cashiers twice not knowing what to do. It seemed they were all angry and annoyed of each other. Food took forever to come out and when we received it it was nasty not edible at all. Order myself a basket of shrimp with fries. If you guys need cooking oil to take home come here and get it for free. See imaged. Husband got a basket of shimrp that was okay kinda meh. Will definitely never come back to this place.

I’ve been coming here whenever I’m in Santa Clarita since 2019, and it’s always been a favorite. The food used to be incredible—flavorful, fresh, and consistently satisfying. (Five Stars), However, my last two visits have felt noticeably different. During a recent visit, I spoke with a friendly staff member who mentioned the recipes had changed under new management. Despite some hesitation, I decided to give the Captain’s Catch another try. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment—what I received was a rubbery lobster tail with no depth of flavor. It tasted more like pre-boiled seafood with some seasoning on top, which was a stark contrast to the dish I used to enjoy. On a positive note, the staff remain very polite and welcoming, which I genuinely appreciate. Will I return? Yes—one more
