Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

This review is late as we where visiting the great state of Tennessee last November. How can food change within a few hours? We actually had breakfast which was great! But. When we went back for dinner it wasn't great. I've been eating at this brand for quite a while. I can say I know their food. So we ordered and her dinner was good but mine I had to take a double look something was different and disgusting. Everything but the fries was hot and looked freshly cooked. The fries was cold, oily AND preseasoned! I have never experienced this in one of these restaurants. Its like someone returned their fries to the kitchen and they gave them to me. I can tell the chef takes pride in preparing dishes. Disturbing!

Not sure what happened to the green beans but they tasted like plastic. They are usually quite tasty. The lemon pepper trout was pretty good, as per usual. My daughter got the pork chops and she said they were dry and not very good. Usually Cracker Barrel is on point, just not this particular visit. The service however, was EXCEPTIONAL!

Amazingly good food and service. Feels like America from the 🍿 movies we all love! Just come, and step back in time in a good way. Great choice of merchandise in the attached store as well. It is a good tradition to eat at the Cracker Barrel regularly:)

Friendly and fast service with Cracker Barrel quality was our experience.

We were excited about dinner at Cracker Barrel but we left disappointed. The food was so cold that we had to ask for it to be reheated 🤦‍♀️ then we waited and waited for biscuits just to get cold bread 🙄, our waitress never asked us if we wanted our drinks refills and our table stink 🤢 (probably from using the same dirty rag)!! I have to say the only tasty item we got was the baked potato. Wasted $70 for the most unsatisfying meal !!!!!!
